Bayern vs Bodo/glimit

Bayern Munich will be eager to put their weekend frustration behind them when they face Bodo Glimt in their Champions League opener. Vincent Kompany’s men were surprisingly held to a goalless draw by Schalke 04, but the German giants remain in outstanding overall form, winning eight of their last 10 matches. Kompany is expected to make changes, with Harry Kane, Michael Olise and Jamal Musiala all pushing for starts after appearing from the bench at the weekend. Serge Gnabry remains sidelined, but Bayern have plenty of attacking depth and have won all four of their recent home games.

Bodo Glimt, meanwhile, are primarily focused on their Eliteserien title challenge, but they arrive in Munich in spectacular form. The Norwegian outfit have won nine of their last 10 matches, including a 2-1 victory over Fredrikstad, with Jens Hauge scoring after coming on as a substitute. Hauge could now be rewarded with a starting berth. However, Evjen, Aleesami, Gundersen, Mikkelsen and Sjong are all injured, while Bodo face a huge step up in opposition.
