Brann vs Start

Brann's campaign has fallen below expectations following consecutive top-four finishes in recent years. Freyr Alexandersson's side have collected just 13 points from their opening 12 league fixtures, despite scoring 24 goals – the third highest goal tally among the Eliteserien teams. Defensive inconsistency has been the primary issue, conceding 20 goals already this season.

Home form remains relatively encouraging, with Brann winning three of their last six league matches at Brann Stadion. 

Brann's injury list remains a concern. Defender Thore Pedersen is sidelined with a dislocated elbow, while Jacob Lungi Sørensen and Denzel De Roeve are also unavailable. Goalkeeper Mathias Dyngeland has additionally been dealing with injury issues, forcing further defensive reshuffling in recent weeks.

Historically, Brann have enjoyed the upper hand in this fixture, particularly in Bergen. However, recent meetings have been surprisingly competitive.
